Default Mouldings detaching from my SSEi

Seeing if any of you have had this problem. I keep finding little problems with my 22K miles SSEi.

On both of my front doors. The body side moulding has separated from the door in the lower front corner of each door. It makes the moulding really stick out from a side angle view. Is this a common problem? I don't see how to fix it since the moulding has stress pulling it from the car. I see it'* using double sided tape which has come loose.

Wish we could post pics..

Ive not seen any issues wtth my moulding (or many other SSEi). You may have just gotten some bad glue. Still under warranty?

I have what appears to be the start of that problem on the front part of the left rear door. A friend had a '99 Grand Prix that had a more serious problem. Some body moulding tape at the local department store and some small C-clamps took care of the problem. It turned out to be easier than I had feared. This is an option, if you're out of warranty.

Yeah, it'* under warranty. I live in a small town that the Pontiac plus has no Body shop and has to divy out the work.

It looked like to me it was a common problem because that panel is really pulling outward in that lower front corner of the door. It needs some clips or something.

Man I love this car, but the quality is just kiling me.

Mine was already coming off when I bought the car (36,000mi). It'* a real pain in the ***, 'cause every time I open my left rear door it catches on the driver door and rubs into the paint. I need to get that fixed. Not sure what caused it.

I just looked carefully at my doors and there is no sign of anything coming loose.

The cladding is attached with double sided tape. I guess there is a good side to this, I remember having cars where I had a severe rust problem where the metal clips attached mouldings.

The problem with plastic is that you just cant put it back on, because "plastic remembers" and will just revert to sticking back out no matter what you try short of putting a screw through it.
I had to replace the rear passenger side molding on my 98, a brand new OEM part. Cost 300 some dollars when all was said and done. And my driver side rear sticks.
