Default Car shuts off while driving

my 2002 bonneville shuts off while driving. I keep all power and it typically starts right back up. Sometimes it will sputter for a second or two before it shuts off. It always happens after the engine is hot and the car has been running for a while, also i noticed it happens mainly when i turn left. no service engine lights come on and the mass air flow sensor has been replaced. after that sensor was replaced it was fine for about three weeks. now it is shutting off while in motion every few days, just like it did before i had the mass air flow sensor replaced. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be or has had similar problems. it has 100,000 miles on it so i figured i would start having problems, but this is one i cant seem to pin point and fix. Any help is appreciated.

Check the battery cables. They might be corroded or loose.

I am not a car expert, so please excuse if I am not saying this correctly. Mine was doing things similar to that, and it was the pulley for the super charge. It literally broke. And I could start it back up, but it would not stay running for long before it would shut down again. And I also kept all power. I have had to replace it twice now, both times within 6 months of each other. Knock on wood, the one I have now, has been on for over a year.

Does the car seem to hiccup at all or show any other signs or symptoms?

Cables and corrosion is very common on the 92-99 body style, less common on the 00+ models.

Crank position sensor is possible, but can be a pain to diagnose because they either work or they don't and the occasional intermittant stall is tough to see with any equipment.

If it starts right up after stalling, could be plugged fuel filter or pump
Usually will cough or studder first

Filter/pump may make sense if the symptoms are right. A lack of power and stumbling would ususally be symptomatic of low fuel flow. Also misfires causing the check engine light to flash, DTC'* regarding lean bank 1 and things like that are some of the things I'd expect to see.

I was thinking it was a clear stall out of no where.

The way I read it is the car just shuts down. Leads me away from fuel and towards electrical. Cables, crank sensor, intermittent ground.

First off thanks you everyone for your suggestions.... I checked all the connections and they are tight and no sign of corrosion. I thought it could be a fuel filter or pump as well but two mechanics lead me away from that after i told them the symptoms. last night on a 2 mile drive home it shut down at least 15 times while driving. i simply through it in nuetral start it back up, give it gas and it dies again. it drove absolutely fine the 20 minutes i drove it before all this happened. I did notice a very low idle level while this was going on when i was just coasting.... say between 500 and 600 RPMs. like i siad, it only does it when the engine is hot and this time it didnt matter whcih way i was turning, or even if i was going staright, i just couldnt keep it going, but i never lost electrical power. going to take it in to the shop right now and have them look at the crank sensor. I had a problem with my grand prix that had the same engine except the tac would stop working, it wouldnt make the whole car shut down. i will let you know what i find out. Also, no ses light comes on or anything... havent had any hidden cdes come up for the mechanic either.
