01 SLE Rear Struts
 

OK, questions about my moms car again...

First off, its a 2001 SLE
She needs to replace the rear struts and we want to keep the ELC functionality. does anyone know what the correct replacement part is? Autozone lists a Garbiel Hi Jacker shock, part num 49228. that doesn't sound right to me... I saw a techinfo article but it was for the older (my era) Bonneville. any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Im pretty sure there isnt rear struts on your moms car. Just air shocks, there are only struts on the front end.

I'll buy into that. i don't know really whats supposed to be there or not be there... thats what i'm looking to find out. :)

correct they are just shocks with air assist

so that means they won't have that bag over them like the rear struts in my 95 then... Ok.

no they will still have the bag....
