leaking fuel line(*)??
hey guys! so, the bonnie'* comin out for winter in a few weeks. i went out to change the oil, toss in a new battery, fill the tires(were a little low), and change the fuel filter. while i was workin i thought i smelled gas or something. then i go to change the fuel filter, and, definitely a gas leak. it was drippin down from the line just under the filter. so i cahnge the filter and start the car. i run and check the lines, and it'* spraying out a pinhole. it actually looks as though it might be both lines, but i think it'* just the one. it'* the line under the plastic filter line, but above the bottom line-running up to the tank. anyway, i was wondering if they sell kits, where the new line goes(how long is it) like where i have to disconnect and put the new one on, how hard it would be to do, and how much new fuel lines are. also, if i could cut a piece of rubber fuel line and put in the one or two feet space with the leak, and how to cut the line if i were to do that. thanks a lot for any advice you can give. i did do some searching as well and came up with nothing. ps sorry for the long post.

Not sure about all of that. If you are cutting, use a small tubing cutter available from most parts stores. Rubber hose should work if rated for the pressure.

that'* what i was thinking for both-i want to make sure the hose can hold up though. but i'd reallylike to know how hard it would be to swap out the line(*) since it would be the better way to go.

Having helped on the Randman1 Frankenbonne project it'* relatively easy if you have the lines from motor to fuel tank. There'* black clips and a matter of manuvering the lines into the correct spot.
It will be more time consuming than difficult with the exception of dropping the tank.

so, i cut out about a foot section and clamped a high-pressure rubber fuel injection hose(120 psi) in it'* place. runs good, no leaks. hopefully it holds up. if not, i'll do it right. thanks again.
