Default Brake light/Traction Problems?

For a while I have been feeling like my car has lost power, but no warning lights were on or anything. Last week I got hit in the back and immediately after the accident my ABS warning light was on. Now whenever I drive after five minutes(not at first, after five minutes of driving or so) might brake light comes on and stays. Sometimes I hear my traction control coming on for no reason whatsoever, like when Im in park and rev the engine up. Also, sounds like my transmission is reving and staying in gear too long and not shifting right, any of these problems linked? Any help would be great....

Frustrated Bonny owner, get my new wheels so car looks great, and now it hardly moves...

If the ABS light is on, you have a problem with the ABS system. Without going any further you need to have a diagnostic done and code scan on the ABS computer. AutoZone might be able to help you there.

The brake light indicates low brake fluid, or emergency brake on. You may have a brake fluid leak somewhere.

Once you have the correct trouble codes, then we can proceed.

Sounds like low fluid. Your brakes and traction both use it from the same reservior. If the fluid is low, the traction pump will try to presurize, and not be able to. What you hear is probably the Traction pump running.
