My transmission makes a clank sound now whenever i put it in gear, and every now and then i think im hearing a small grinding sound now and then, however it doesnt slip or anything. Is this the end of the transmission? how far can it go like this?

mine clunks when park to reverse and from drive to reverse and while moving at low speeds.....trans mount to be suspect. It has been doing this for like a year now and no ill advised problems

Trans mount?
Could also be CV joints, ball joints, many other things

yes the trans mount is suspect because it only happens when there is a load on the trans

yeah, sounds like either a trans mount or an engine mount. Those are the usual suspects when a car clunks going into a gear.

Got the same problem. I've heard this is often attributed to CV shafts. So, check them both out.
