96 SSEi I'm looking at? This car has sunroof, HUD, and CCR.

How do I tell if the CCR is working or not? The dealer says it works. Is there that noticable a difference between Performance and Touring settings?

if the CCR is functioning, ONE of the lights will be on....if the system is not functioning....BOTH of the Perf and the Touring lights will be on at the same time

The ride quality will stiffen up in performance mode. Depending on the mileage and condition of the struts, you will feel it to a certain degree. The main difference I noticed was when cornering.

Forget CCR. It matters little. The difference is too subtle. If it works, great. If it doesn't, no big deal, but use that as a bargaining chip.

Oh..

Also look at valve cover leaks, lower intake gaskets seeping..

Bargaing chips also. Nothing to be afraid of, very common.
