WOT problem @NEBF (04,22,06 still having the same problem)

I am having problems with my car at WOT and heavy accereration, the car seams to be bogging down and not wanting to get up and go. we here at NEBF are thining maybe its tranny related but the fluid looks and smells fine. we have had the car on the scan tool and the 4th gear switch seams to be shuting off when WOT is applied :? also we have checked vaccum and it was fine as well.

HELP USE PLEASE!!! I have to drive 700mile home and i dont think i will be able to keep off of the gas that much

The 4th gear switch SHOULD do that at WOT.

Check your fuel pressure and your Cat.

i drove it and it doesnt seem like a fuel problem. the car is fine at wot until it warms up and then it would stumble a lot. anything above 35-40% throttle the car would stumble horribly.

THAT MAKES 2 OF US.

does it happen only when the RPMS get above 2000 or 3000? thats what mine is and bill is correct for my car I believe.

Check fuel pressure if possible.

it seems above 3000. even trying to pick up 5-10 mph on the highway.

Only when warmed up at certain RPM's and above? I smell a clogged cat.

I am replacing that first later next week before fuel related items FPR has been replaced and that did not do a thing...but yeah if we can check the fuel pressure to rule that out it would not hurt.

I noticed a high flow cat was NOT in your mod list

have we tried pounding on the cat to see if it ratteles? most likely it wont but the cat could just be clogged if it is original.

high flow cat and exaust are waiting for me at work, the were coming in last week but i think they came in on friday but at that point i was already at NEBF :(

Boosty can hook you up with a mechanic to do a quick flow check on it. However, if it rattles when banged with your fist, it's a pretty sure sign.

If it's diagnosed as the cat, I think you'll be fine to drive home if you take it easy.

Could look into a fuel filter possibly too....
