Follow-up to posting of 2/07/04
General Info for anyone else who might have this problem down the road.
All fixed- it was the switch in the seat belt holder that was stuck in the OPEN position- I had to pay $100.00 -Diagnostic charges and $46.00 for the new part
total $146.00 for everything- including labor to remove and install new seat belt buckle holder.
From the Pontiac Dealership.

I know I could have eliminated (THE LIGHT) by other CHEAP MEANS:

But that would not have FIXED the problem of the SEATBELT not functioning properly- to MY Requirements! If I had been in a serious accident- it would have been registered as NOT ENGAGED and I'm not about to go there!

Thanks for your ELECTRICAL TAPE response, but NO THANKS!
