Wiring switch for fan override switch
 

I got all the wiring and a single position switch to do the cooling fan override today. What I am wondering is which wires go where to wire up the switch. If I have researched this correctly I will piggy back a wire off the cooling high speed fan relay (green wire in will wrens photo) which is supposedly a ground, then run this to the accesory node on the switch, then run the ground to the switch to the positive node (as this will be the reverse to a standard positive wiring) and using this assumtion I will wire the negative node to a positive source for the LED to function.....This seems a little bass ackwards to me, so I need some help here. I will not touch this untill I know for sure which wires go where, so as to not screw NEthing up.

ditch the power source and the LED. Not needed. If you want an LED to tell you it's on, you may be able to put one in across the terminals of the switch, But I'm sure there isn't enough power to turn that on.... Basically, You can't have the LED unless you'd like to add some relays...

Yup, But while you're wiring, Might as well make that SPST into a SPTT and have the low fan wiring...

If I recall will was having a code problem with his low switch only...I dont want that, and really all I really need is the high speed switch for what im gonna use it for (strictly racing) If I lived in an exceptionally high temp climate then I may be interested in a low speed too just to keep things cool otherwise but 100 degrees here only happens 2 weeks out of the year. (its the 8+ weeks of 5 degree days that suck in the winter!!! :cry: )

True, But I think his QDM faults may have been caused by something else, I've had it installed for a couple months atleast and haven't had an SES in that time.

may be a L67 problem too.
