Default Weird Idle Boost

So I was just working on the car today with friends adding the second amp to the trunk. We accidentally killed the battery, no big deal, jumped it started up perfectly. All is well. Let it charge a bit, shut off the car. We continue finishing up the install, and get ready to go for a drive. So I start it up, the boost is sitting at 3/8th of the full rotation of the dial (almost 0). If I gaver' a little gas it would increase from there, so like at 1500RPM there was 0psi boost.

Now, we went for the drive, came back, shut if off cleaned up some tools, went to go drive again, and everything was normal.

What happened? Did the guage zero itself incorrectly? Or something with boosting the battery? I'm lost.

Re-learning, cuz you dumped it and made it stupid. Your BCS just needed to figure out where it wanted to be.

You may notice a few other things as well, like a little worse gas mileage until the PCM relearns.

OK, how long should it take for the battery to return to fully charged. Causes it died again TWICE today and needed a boost.

What is up!?

My 1999 SSEi never was below half way between boost and max vacuum. I did have the 3.4" pulley, but I also had a over-sized pulley for the stock belt.
I only reset the battery once (when I changed it) when I owned the car.

The alternator should charge it up fine after you get it running. Either the battery isn't holding the charge, or the alternator isn't charging it.

If you have no other way of testing the current, I'd replace the battery (or just use one that you know is good), and if it dies, it'* your alternator.

Voltage while the car is off is about 10.6->10.8 at the battery.

Voltage while the car is running at the battery is about 13.3ish.

So I'm guessing its just not holding the charge?? What would cause it to die outta no where?

Also, when you lock the car is horn is like 1/4th the normal loudness... And it starts slowly... Like it has no power.

Time for a battery, before it kills your alternator. It'* over-working it right now.

But why.... just cause it died the one time?? Or this was a long time coming and just happened to fail now?

In the process of adding the second Sony amp, nothing shorted out, everything worked perfectly, everything was fused properly.

Because this came about around me installing the amp, my father automatically draws the conclusion it'* my fault, and/or the fault of the second amp. Whereas I know this cannot be the case, everything was done proerply, and worked flawlessly. This blows.....

Or, the battery has been dying and your alternator has been able to keep up until now...
