step 1 get a friend who won't tell everyone about this
Step 2 get friend pressure washer in hand
Step 3 get in car and have him shoot the seams, and look for leaks.
Could also be some defroster ducting from what someone said. Also a member has had their air bags go off from standing water somehow on a later 90'* Bonne. Maybe you want to disable it for now, it'* free, and safety isn't a bad thing to have on your side. Just don't forget to replace the fuse.

Have you checked the evaporator condensation drain tube? If it gets clogged it could leak into the interior, although you would think it would leak onto the passenger side floor. Just an idea. I cleaned mine out with a really long zip tie.

Heater core? A pinhole leak might only leak when the radiator is pressurized and the AC ducting may be transporting the water to the passenger compartment.

Did this water smell like coolant?
Also the hump was soaked? The water was on the drivers side alone?
The insulation under the carpet is really good a wicking the water, soaks it right up...
At this point I'd say eother Evaorator is leaking water on the inside of the car or water is sneaking in from the drivers side B pillar...
