Looking at a 95 bonny SE for sale. Seller says trans will go forward, but no reverse.
Everything else is fine. Have left him a message to ask if any check engine light on. Any idea what this could be? If it is an easy fix, great, this car is selling cheap! Trans problems scare a lot of people! Maybe reverse lockout or sensor?

First check the fluid level and color. could be a filter but not as likely. Could be one of the control solenoids. Mis assembled servo, damaged piston or seal, missing cushion spring or retainer, burned or damaged reverse band, Bad or walked out solenoid.

Thanks Danthurs, I had to click around to find your reply, kinda hard to find. Anyhow, would the solenoid be hard to replace or expensive? He is selling for around $700.00. If worth it I would make an offer!
