Default 93 SSEi is triping out

at 4am, i was going to work.I was driving at 45 mph and i see that my headlights are dimming and my dash lights as well. Then, im really floreing it and i get no respond. You guys know when you start the bonneilles that the gauges go all the way to the right and then to the left and then to the proper setting, well imagine that happening, but at 50mph.I was seriously scared. So, i went to put gas cause maybe i thought i was going to run out of gas since my gauges were triping out. Then i leave the gas station and the same problem is happening agian, and next thing you know,my car dies at 60mph. I pulled over and walla,i didnt want to start. There was no battery voltage at all.So i called in sick at work.Oh, by the way, that was going to be my second day in that job..what do you guys think the problem is.

Can you edit your post so that we can read it? Please use capital letters, punctuation, spelling, and proper grammar.

I'm not insulting you, so don't take it personally. Many members will simply overlook a topic they can't read.

It would be easier to read if you put a space after the periods.

Try disconnecting all the battery cables, remove the bolts & rubber boots. Clean any corrosion off the cable ends with sandpaper or wire brush. Apply dielectric grease & reassemble. Let us know what you find.

I agree with Ted...I've been down this road before. Clean the cables like he said, and then get your battery and altenator tested when you can. If it'* not the cables, then it sounds like you could have lost your altenator/battery.

Keep a close eye on everything. I'd still get your Alt. checked out.

Electrical issues on these cars are NOT fun.....
