Default DLC module??

Ok, I found in the tech info how to reprogram my keyless entry. My only 2 questions now is how do i fuse the jumper wire and what is the DLC module. Thanks in advance for all help.

Paperclip, short piece of wire, etc. They do make a jumper wire that has a small alligator clip on each end (avaible at Radio Shack, Best Buy, AutoZOne, etc), but that involves spending money....

Am I supposed to put a fuse on it?? and what is the DLC module I need to jump?

96LeSabre,
Just noticed this post. Its been a coupla weeks and maybe you have figured out what you need to do but in case you have not...

The DLC 'module' you asked about is not a module at all. It is simply the Data Link Connector used to connect a scan tool to your car. It is a 16 pin open faced connector located near the steering column.

As far as using a fused jumper just go to any auto parts store and pay a buck or two for an inline fuse holder. They come with wires on both ends. Just trim the insulation for from each end and you have your 'fused jumper'. You probably want to used a very low amperage fuse, like 1-3 amps.
