Default Spark Plugs

Hey I was told by a current member that i would be better off going to a different heatrange for my plugs. I have NGK TR55 in my car now and i have a smaller pulley and a FWI. I have expierenced a flutter effect whenever my engine makes boost I was wondering if other expierenced this also it is a major loss of power. I was told to switch to either NGK TR6'* or make sure my tr55'* are gapped at .055 do others agree with this?

Gap TR55'* to .055" if you pulley down one step like you have. You don't have the mods or the need to go to TR6.

Stock applications (L27, L36) should gap TR55'* at .060".

Timing does not go 'off'. If the crank sensor fails the PCM defaults to 'limp' mode. It will not flutter. It just has reduced power (pulls timing).

Yours sounds like a possible boost problem or misfire. MISfire. Not timing.

I'm going boost problem.

ITalking to him on AIM, if he puts the stock air box in, it goes away, if he has his CAI on, and moves his Boost Actuator back up where it belongs, it goes away.

He has a high flow cat coming on pay day. He says his TC is going bad. The probllem happens where the motor makes the most torque from what I can gather.
