how do you check for vac leaks and i will check all the wires and spark when i get up in the mornin. thanks for the input.

ok first off how do i check for vac leaks, and i will check the spark and wires in the morning when i get up. thanks for the input

well you can listen for hissing while the engine is running or spray fuel injector cleaner, like carb cleaner but for fuel injected cars, around the hoses and listen to the rpm, if they pick up you found a leak. I would venture to guess its just running too rich.

If you take a can of carb cleaner and spray it on the vac lines and connections when the engine is running the RPM will go up if you spray a leak. Also get the EGR tube.

That'* a good chance if the O2 sensor is real bad. That'* why pulling the plugs and inspecting them is a good idea.
