traction control turns off & cant be turned back on?
hi i just fixed my car from very long 2 week journey of headaches.. but now my car runs 100% fine execpt the traction control.. when i first start the car i can turn the traction control off and of at will for about the first 1 mile. then it turns off and stays stuck off untill i turn off the car and restart it.. could it be a bad speed sensor ?

Yes it could be. However it requires a Tech 2 or advanced scanner (high end snap on) to read the fault from the car.
Check the connectors at each wheel.

I had this problem with my car too.
I disconnected and cleaned the sensors with electrical contact cleaner, that fixed my issue.

No, it will not work. You must go to a dealer to extract codes.
Possible causes:
Wheel speed sensor (one of 4). Must be replaced with the entire hub assembly, or check for corrosion/broken wires. Backside of each hub.
Sensor can be seen here attached to the stone sheild at about the 11 o-clock position. See the little blue connector attached to the black metal sheild?
Pull and clean those connectors on all 4 hubs. Apply dielectric grease before reconnecting.
If this isn't your problem, it'* going to get expensive very fast. You don't even want to know.
The other two failures are the EBCM (electronic brake control module) which doesn't commonly fail. The other more common failure is the PMV. Pressure modulator valve assembly. This is under your airbox, and has a bunch of brake lines coming and going. The common mode of failure is that an interior coil that 'gates' the pressurized brake fluid to one or another brake cylinder/caliper will corrode through (non-repairable) and fail self-test. Another possibility is the PMV brake fluid reservior level sensor. It feeds from the MC. In either case, the PMV assembly is VERY expensive new, and fairly expensive at a wrecker. It'* alot of work as well.
In the long run, in MY opinion, if it'* not easily fixed with a WSS connector cleaning, let it go. I don't have traction control on either car. ABS is out on one as well. Bad PMV on the Zilla took both ABS and traction out.
Bad WSS on the 95 took out traction control. Why the ABS still works is beyond me.

Sure. Many of us do. You just won't have traction control. ABS and Traction have no effect on the NORMAL driving of the car. They just don't have their intended functionality.
I actually prefer to manage my OWN traction control. Your right foot will do just fine.
