Motor quit and it'* getting chilly here now in the morn. Wife thinks I should fix it. I guess I'll be at NEBF in spirit, if Boost wants to hold my Jack/Coke.
Motor is easy to get at, but it looks like the engine has to be tipped forward to get the assembly out all the way. Have never done this, but if I put a come-along on the bracket by the rear valve cover and remove the big bolt on the motor mount on the front(pass side) of the engine, I should be able to accomplish this, correct?

Torque axis will have to come out. I'd say cheat it by pulling the body side off. Leave the motor side if possible.

Torque axis mount is the engine mount on the passenger side of the motor next to the battery.

It'* basically two pieces. One bolted to the body/frame of the car. Two bolts on top and two on the side (get from underneath by taking out plastic shield). Then theres the part that is bolted to the motor. This comes off when you remove the ps pump, a bolt you can get on right side of water pump and a bolt you need to take off plastic shield underneath. BTW there'* two spacers on the engine side behind bolts.

I feel the body/frame piece is easier and allows the same movement.

that is what I was referring to. Didn't know the correct name of it. Pulling the bolt in that assembly won't accomplish the same result?

Unfortunately it won't. The motor side sits on either side of the body/frame piece. If you try to rock forward it'll hold you up.

well, removed all 4 bolts on mount. put floor jack under tranny(with a big block of wood inbetween of course) and lifted. the whole car went up.

I didn't need to remove anything other than the strut tower brace to remove the blower motor in my 93. It did take some fiddling around to get it out. I found that I had to turn the housing in certain ways to get around obstructions.

Fingered it out. Just loosen torque-axis mount, don't take all four bolts out. with car in park pull/push it forward and have someone put a block behind the back wheel to keep it from moving back. This causes the motor to tilt forward just enough to make removing the blower motor easier. This might even work without loosen bracket.

once you plug the power back up it should just work right??? my old one would blow whenever it felt like it so i took it to the dealer and they said the blower motor was going bad and i could install it and replace it. so i just took it out and put the new one in and plugged it up and i get nothing now nothing at all what to do??? do i have a bad blower motor???
