Default Tranny problem?

Its a 95 sse, the problem started with a check engine light and a little hesitation, then it started jerking pretty bad. I took it to autozone to see what the codes were, but there scanner could't establish a link. Whene I left autozone the car would barely move like it was tring to start in 3rd gear. also the traction off light came on by it'* self. anybody have any ideas what is wrong?

Sounds like your traction control/anti-lock brake system is acting up. Engaging and disengaging when it shouldn't.

That'* actually not possible. Too many checks and balances. Any malfunction in either system, and they both shut down, leaving braking normal (non-abs).

Get it scanned by a competent person at a knowledgable shop. You have OBD1, but OBD2 codes. You need an OBD1 reader with a 16-pin ALDL cable.

Get back to us with codes.

well, either I fixed it or it is an intermintent problem, the vacuum line that goes into the tb was cracked in half so I fixed that. It has been running fine since, are the codes stored even though the check eng. light is off now, cause I still want to know what they were.I think the vacuum line went from the tranny to the tb what is it'* purpose?
