Where is the "chime" / "dinger"?

OK, the check gauges lamp blinking along with the constant "chiming" is driving me crazy. I want to find the dinger and unplug it. (Gauges are fine, been doing this for 3 months). Anyone know where that dinger is?

Dinger location!

IIRC it's on the side panel above the passenger's right foot. I believe there's a location list on the hush panel when you drop it under the dash, so that'd be an easy, quick check.

PPrash, your year and model in your signature would be a big help.

And it might not be a bad idea to go through some more basic troubleshooting with a gearhead or two.

Sorry, it is a 94 Bonneville. I have had it scanned. Shows no DTC's. You can drive it daily for a week and not have it flash/ chime and for no reason it starts doing it time after time when driven.

I'm probably wrong, but...

Even though someone said it is under the passenger's hush panel, I'm thinking it is under the driver's side. It was driving me batty when I was working on the drivers side fuse block.

Have you looked over the wiring to the sensor and changed the sensor itself to fix this issue? Maybe checked the connections at the PCM?
