Kinda.. yeah -- it'* also for performance reasons though! lol
My FSM says anywhere around 40PSI is normal, and that'* where it should be. I don't know if that applies to every gen, but that'* what I will follow as good Oil Pressure.

Thats true.. but mine is readin bout close to 80 PSI and idles around 60 PSI.. I was worried at first.. but talkin to a few mechanics that I trust around.. as long as you're gettin from 20 to 100 PSI.. there'* flow going thru and the oil is covering what it has to.. lower PSI also means there maybe a leak around the bearings.. so I"m ok with that.. could be a sending unit issue.. but meh.. as long as theres pressure.. I won't replace it just yet.
