Default Air bag sensor got wet = possible problems?

On a previous post I stated that my trunk was leaking very badly...Well in fact it leaked so bad that the water made its way to the passenger rear floorboard. The passenger rear floorboard was filled with water and started to leak to the front passenger area floorboard when I drove the car around back. As I drove the air bag light came on. There is a sensor that is under the passenger seat that got drenched in water. I took the passenger seat out and vacuumed out all the water. I peeled back the carpet enough to get a close look at the air bag sensor. I unbolted the sensor and dried it off.......Is my sensor ruined? Will it set off an unexpected deployment if I plug it back in? Or should I find another sensor from a donor car that is in good condition?........Thanks Ryan

Default

I decided that I want to disarm the system after reading about these accidental deployments from wet carpets.......Since I pulled that sensor that was under the seat is the air bag system disarmed? or what else do I need to do? Thanks
