Default rear view mirror...

The rear view mirror on my '92 SSEI fell off today. I went to the auto store and got some expoxy to re-attach it. The metal "button" on the back of the mirror appears to be held in place by a metal clip.

How do I separate the metal "button" from the rear view mirror assembly?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Default

i'm not for sure mine was held to the piece of metal by a small hex head screw.

you might try using a precision screw driver to disengage the clip. only suggestion i have.

Default rear view mirror...

I should have mentioned that I have the electronic mirror which does not use the small hex screw to attach the rear view mirror to the windshield...
