i put in a k&n today, small increase in power and speed! so i was like sweet... then i decided out of nowher to gut out my airbox... WOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!! the thing is flying now.. so if u get a minute, gut out your airbox, and fly like the wind! here is an url i saw someone else post, mad props to that guy for helping me out!

i gues its recommended to have a k&n before doing this, but im not sure... confirmation?

Gutting the airbox sounds like a good short term solution to address the "need for speed" issue. I assume however, the ADTR intake is the best possible option for us who lust to make dust...uhhhh, sorry, I didn't mean to pull the poetry...
But..meh...
I might do that this weekend....while I wait ever so patiently....

Granted it is the poor man'* speed increase, but its worth sockin away for.
Make the ADTR intake a summer project, save those pennies, I'm sure it will be worth it!!

That link to the gutting is one of our members
You really want to have fun? Now open that airbox up with some holes and let it BREATHE. But if you don't buy an ADTR eventually, I'll tell Hector you don't like him.
Hector is BIG.

Here is an idea for an intake. I did this awhile ago. It'* a 6" cone K&N with 4" PCV pipe. I bought all the parts except for the filter at a plumbing store. It cost around $80. I know the support is jimmyrigged but i don't care, i'll make a nice support for it later. I still have to repair the damage from my bonne rally accident.

G2 will have better performance. You have one more like mine if you go to my website to peek. ADTR will replace mine.
Still, a smooth walled, jointless mandrel-bent intake with some R&D to back it up is the best choice if you have the budget. G2 did his for 1/2 the cost of the ADTR.
