Default Need Help Please With Door Trim Removal

Can anyone give me instructions on how to remove the front passenger and driver interior door panels/trim. I'm trying to replace the speakers and can't figure out how to pull the panels off. The car is a 1996 Bonneville SSEi with power windows and locks. Thanks for any help, in advanced.

If it'* like mine........(93), take out the 2 screws on the 'speaker bulge'. Take out the screw at the top underside of the little piece of black trim at the top of the door handle (the padded one you use to pull the door closed). Remove the door marker light, and remove the 2 big screws inside that hold the armrest portion of the handle assembly. Carefully pry the lower section of the door panel away from the door frame, working your way around and up the sides to disengage the plastic retainers. If you break these, you can get em anywhere. Now lift the panel up out of the window seal slot. Disconnect all your connectors from the backside, and it'* out! I have an explode view if you want me to scan it and send it, but you probably won't need it. It'* pretty straightforward.

This is based off the passenger door on a '95 SSEi but shoulb be failly close.

What you need:

Large Phillips screwdriver
Small flat blade screwdriver
9/32 socket
T-15 torx bit

Here'* how:

1) With the small flat blade remove the following:
a) The white door light. Pry from the right side.
b) The LED light on the handle. Pry from the left side.
c) The door controls. Either side should work.
d) The small crescent shape insert behind the door handle. Pry from the right.
2) With the 9/32 socket remove the screw at the lower left and the one a few inches above it.
3) With the large Phillips remove the two screws behind where the white light was. Also remove the one behind where the LED light was.
4) Use the T-15 torx to remove the last screw from behind the door handle.
5) You should now be able to pull the door panel towards you. Careful, there are those stupid push in clips behind it that are pulling out. They suck to replace.
6) Here’* where I stopped but the panel should then just lift straight up off the door. The last point of contact is the rubber seal area for the window. There is a small lip that the panel fits in to. It might take some wiggling to get it to pop off.
7) There are a few Phillips screws on the backside of the panel holding on the molding that houses the speakers and controls. Pull those screws and you will have full access to the speakers.

Just go in reverse to put it back together!

If you have any trouble just let me know...

WELCOME!! Be careful putting it back on also, so you won't break the pieces putting it on. They are delicate(cheap).

That & you WILL need new door panel retainers as the old ones will break off when the panel is taken apart!
