Default Exhaust tips 97 SSE...

how the hell do I get the exhaust tips off???

I see a bolt and a nut, but I'll be damned I pounded on the closed end wrench with a hammer, couldn't get it to budge! Any ideas? Are the tips welded on in any way?

Thanks!

Mine had to be welded off. Maybe that helps

Default SOLUTION

I have a solution, worked well for my 95 SSE. I was pulling out of a driveway and my backend clunked. Damned carlots and their low driveways. One popped off. Taking a girl i was...seeing....to her mom'* school i had to go through a shallow ditch to get around the horrible traffic for kids. Thankfully the other one came off. Pulled one bolt out each time and snapped the other side on each one. Worked well. Was clean and couldn't tell.
A very poor solution but a solution none the less. Just drive through ditches and low driiveways. Heh.
