Where is the Keyless receiver located on the car?
My keyless is dead :( Both transmitters have fresh batteries and the fuses are all good. It has been flaky for a long time. Sometimes it would work perfectly, and other times it would take 2 or 3 pushes of the button to get a reaction. Once, after I vacuumed the car, it worked perfectly for a month, and then quit altogether. It seams like a simple loose connection somewhere. The locks and trunk release work perfectly, but just don't respond to the remotes. I did try reprogramming, with no luck. Any ideas? It'* a 95' Olds LSS.

Neither of my original remotes work real well; in fact I got one of them for free in dead form from a Pontiac salesman and fixed it myself. Problem with both of them was in the little plastic overlay stuck on top of the circuit board that holds the button contacts over the right spots. It got dislodged and basically the contacts would miss each other when you pressed the button. They also get dirty and don't conduct real well. Try a little exploratory surgery on the remote and see what you find.
(I was able to give up the factory remotes at last when I installed my BulldogSecurity remote starter, which also operates the locks and the trunk.)

Actually, I think I remember reading in the shop manual that the passkey module is located in the trunk.
I've had problems with one of our remotes too...in my case, there was moisture and corrosion buildup inside the remote, on the circuit board. A little careful cleaning with rubbing alcohol took care of it.

The Passkey Decoder Module is located on the RH side of the I/P. The Remote Access Control Module is located behind the RH side of the I/P, on the RH side of the PCM bracket.

Model years back in the '80'* did have a diagnostic wire in the trunk that was supposed to be grounded to do... something, I forget what (all I remember is the green plastic connector on the end), but the '90'* Bonnevilles have their electronics in and around the dash, for the most part.
