What size torx socket do I need for the brake calipers?
 
Im going to do the brakes on my 96 sse tomorrow and im wondering what size torx socket to get. thanks.

Take a good look at the caliper bolts... Chances are they will be a 3/8 hex( allen ) bolt... Somewhere along the line GM changed from a Torx T-55 to a 3/8's... My 95 uses a 3/8's... good luck :wink:

My 99 still uses that 3/8" allen head bolt, too. :wink: Gotta love the consistency! :lol:

93 olds cutlass ciera s caliper star socket size
 
Just changed the brake pads on my 1993 oldmobile Cutlass Ciera S 3.3L and after all the forums I read dealing with 92 to 95 all said it was a t60 star socket, my 93 infact was a t50 star socket not a t60 or hex but a t50. I hope this helps
someone from avoid all the bs and guessing.
