What brand for Fuel tank sending unit?

I am looking for one for the ’93.
There is a big difference in price between Delco and other brands ($200~300 Delco compared to $40~70).

Has anyone had problems with Dorman, Spectra, or Napa brands?

I have heard aftermarket pumps make a loud buzzing noise. Have you considered just changing the pump motor itself? What exactly is the problem.

Resistance in a little wonky but the biggest problem is metal fuel lines comming off the top are very rusty and delicate looking. I will be dropping tank to change to change the pump and thought I would change this while I'm at it.

Bump
All I can see here from search is people using Delco.
Anybody try one of the other brands?

I've used the Advance auto ...probably spectra. Works fine for me. My experience is GM pumps are loud and all the aftermarket pumps I've had Carter.. etc etc have been much quieter.

Thanks for the reply – that helps.
Since there is a big price difference and no one was mentioning other brands, I was beginning to think they were shoddy in some way.

If you have time..you might find a better price on Ebay or Rockauto.

Avoid everything but Delco. I got a Spectra from Rock Auto and the sending unit was DOA. Had to drop the tank a second time to change it.

Spend the extra $$ and buy quality. The reason I needed to change is was severe rust on the top tubes that connect to the plastic lines.
