Default Drain Holes in Spoiler?

It hasn't rained here for a few days but when I open the trunk I'm still getting drips off the end of the spoiler on each side. I took a closer look and it seems there'* a hole on each end of the spoler. Is the purpose to drain water and if so where does that water originate from? I've always noticed water dripping from there when the car is wet or was wet shortly before, but never really this much later. What'* up?

Don't worry, that mess on the driveway isn't from my Bonnie!

I want to say those holes are there due to the blowmolding process during manufacture. Most ABS spoilers have those kinds of holes....

Any idea how the water is getting in there though? It just seems sort of odd I guess. The holes do look intentional though, I agree
