Can anyone tell me if I can remove the trim along the top of the windshield with out destorying it. I think I have a water leak at the top of my windshield.

Thanks in advance

no such luck..

the trim is actually put onto the glass before it goes in. therefore the trim is not going to come out in 1 piece until the windshield comes out.

the trim piece is about $70 new

the reason i know this is because my windshied was installed incorrectly by some genius in west virginia. i had someone here in MN look at it, and they said it needs to be pulled to be fixed. i do have glass coverage, so one of these days i might just throw a rock my car windshield LOL.

best be is to go a head and buy a new piece so you will have it. because it will tear and mess up

I'm in the same boat I can see my trim has popped up/broken...I think the guy'* who painted my car did that.....maybe they though it could come up and go back down because it is painted under there..

however they refuse to accept so it'* like driving an airplane so much noise.I think I will silicon it down...until I get my windshield replaced (by my insurance company)....which will be broken by some freak accident
