Water pump removal question
Do you have to remove the AC lines above the motor mount in order to take it out of there. I cant seperate the motor mount from the bracket and i need to take it out as one unit. thanx

I don't beleve so, but i don't have any experience on SC'd cars so they may be different. Remember A/C lines are slightly flexible so you can pull them a little to make them work for you not against you.

IM trying to remove the torque axis mount ( the round thing that bolts to the body of the car) from the bracket that goes onto the motor. IM not trying to sound sarcastic but i just want to make sure im clear about it. thanx

Ive taken off every bolt on both the torque axis mount and the mount that goes onto the motor, it wont come out of the engine compartment in one piece, i have to seperate them to get them out. YOU just need to take the motor mount off so you can get the wp pulley out and the one bolt that goes onto the water pump out right?

I forgot to ask if you have supported the engine. there is a dogbone style motor mount on the rear of the motor on the passenger side. Use a floor jack and jack up under the motor mount. this relieves the weight off of the torque axis mount for removal.

I already have weight off of it, i can sit there and shake the whole mount assembly around, i just cant work it out of the engine compartment. Could i just unbolt the 2 mounts and slide the water pump out from behind all that crap and remove it that way?

Never did it that way. I bet you'll have a problem just getting the pump out let alone reinstalling the new one.
This is a torque axis mount (engine half) from a 93 SE. You can see the raised part which appears on the other side too. this prevents the body half from lifting up and away from the engine half. If the center bolt is out and the thing is flopping around in there, you should be able to lift the engine half up and separate them. There'* nothing else holding it in there.
