Are all 1997 models 40th anniversary editions or was there a special package offered? I recall seeing a 1997 SSEi at the dealer'* lot exactly like mine but it had some red emblems denoting 40th anniversary between the back door windows and the rear window on the pillar.

The 40th edition was only a special number of cars. They had the special emblem and different 40th floor mats. The best way to tell if you are unsure it to look at your spare tire cover. The RPO code for 40th edition is Y40 and it'll be listed if it is.

Are all 40th Anniversary models SSEi'* or can they be any package level SSE, or whtatever? Or, put another way, does having a 40th anniversary imply certain option codes are also present on a vehicle (besides the actual package)? I'm looking to buy a series II 3800 bonn and found a 40th ann ssei. Would they all be the same except for color? My search may be over if they're all the same.

there are only were 637 SSEI 40th'* made, they are a rare car you could say, and the 40th was avaliable in any color, and any trim level
