92' SSE

One of the bolts on my thermastat housing has broken off. wtf! How can i get the other part of the bolt out?

i did the same thing but on my series 2 i was able to take off the lower intake and drill them out....

go to a parts store or hardware store and ask for a bolt extractor and tell them what size bolt you are trying to get out

you drill a hole in the bolt, and then thread a reverse threaded bolt into it like this



then when you try and take the extractor out, it takes the bolt with it

ok so drill a hole, get some left handed bits, screw them in then out???????

An extractor will be left handed. When you screw it in..you will be turning counter clockwise, and the theory is the bolt unscrews (counter clockwise) as the extractor gets tighter inside the bolt.
