Water Pump Replacement on 94SE?
 

This morning I noticed some water under my 94 SE with 119,000 miles. It unfortunately looks like water/antifreeze. I couldn't tell where it was coming from but it seems a little too far toward the rear of the car to be radiator. I plan to put it on ramps tonite and get a better look.

Water pump on car is original. If it is water pump, how difficult and expensive a job is it to either have pump replaced or to do it myself. I don't have a service manual so I'm not even sure where water pump is. If there is a link or a site that gives info on replacing it, I'd certainly appreciate the help.

I guess I'll know more tomorrow after I get under the car tonite. Is it likely to be either water pump or radiator. I 'll look at hoses too but that would be tooeasy!

Mike where on the engine did you see the leak. driver side? passanger side? front rear? All this will help. One common area to look is passanger side toward rear of engine. If thats where it is I would bet upper intake. But let us know.

Near as I could tell it was toward fron of engine on passenger side. there is kind of a perforated metal plate under there and I saw a deop coming off there. I'll know more tonight. Saw nothing toward rear of engine at all. Intake problems scare me. maybe I should be happy if it's water pump!
