I'm not sure what part you're talking about. Can you be more specific?

You have me totally lost. You're going to have to take a pic of that. The only abs-related connectors are at each wheel hub, the PMV, and the EBCM. None are near that location.

The only thing that I can think of near that area is the brake proportioning valve, but as I recall, those are near the rear wheel. A cylindrical device, maybe roughly the size of a "AA" battery. Other than that, I too am lost as to what it may be, and agree a picture would help a lot.

ok right now, im not to sure about exactly if this is the part. but i've been trying to find a picture of a antilock brake control module on the net to see if it matches the part that i have. but i have a good feelin that it what it is because it was on both the left and right brake cables

Those aren't part of the ABS system. They're part of the traditional brake system.

The only components in the ABS system are:

1. Wheel speed sensors built in to each of the 4 hub/bearing assemblies.
2. EBCM Electronic Brake Control Module. Mounted to the right of the gas pedal under the carpet up through 1993. Under the hood near the master cylinder from 94 on.
3. PMV. Pressure Modulator Valve. The big doo-hicky under your stock airbox with the brake lines, round motor housing, and reservior.

That is simply the entire ABS system. There are no other components.

Maybe you should copy/paste what you wrote in the other topic so others know what your issues are.
