expensive and relatively easy scantool
a little preface here, when my uncle and his friend closed their shop my uncle made a deal with me that he would give me all his tools if I agree to build a new garage with a lift so he could work on his cars on a time to time basis when needed... So now that I got that out of the way,
Today while driving the Bonneville I got a SES light, so I decided to look through the many boxes of stuff I havent even touched yet that my uncle gave me and in one of the boxes was this Snap-On Scanner. Turned out to be #44 lean exhaust, Which Ill investigate later. Im thinking either bad O2 sensors, or I havent even ran it throught the tank of gas it came on which has been sitting for around a year.

More than you wanna know, LOL. Looks like the same one that a firend of mine keeps in his tool box at work ( he is the only one that "knows" how to use it so the owner lets him keep it in his box). I think he mentioned it was around the 5,000-7,000$ mark in CAD of course, LOL.
BUT I have seen him use it a few times while working on a few cars, even my own. Comes in REAL handy.

He paid $2600 for it with the main cartridge, all domestic and all import OBDII, I would say about $500-700 of that price was the snap on name =(.
