Manifolds glowing red
Just install my underdrive pulley and took the car for a spin. Noticed a small increase in power from 0-90 not much but some mostly around the shifting point. From 90-shutoff very nice increase in power. Only problem is after all that fun i could smell a hot smell, popped the hood and front manifold was cherry red, back was glowing but not as bad as the front. Checked the cat (first idea) and no glowing. Any one have an idea. Also is it safe to drive like that?

i would believe it is running rich because the tips are always covered in black carbon. And have been told it "smells like it is running rich". I dont understand why it would do it after a small thing like that underdrive pulley. How would i go about fixing it. Maybe something like resetting the computer maybe?

I dunno about a serious power loss, mine have glowed before.
If you're running 90-shut down, you're pushing some seriously hot exhaust.
I wouldn't be supprised if they were glowing.
I'd bet after my 126 run they were glowing on my motor

Underdrive pulley? Which one? Crank? Water pump? Alternator? Please be specific.
Running lean is more likely to make the manifolds glow than running rich. Check your fuel pressure.
Cleaned the K&N? If any oil got on the MAF sensor after reinstalling, it could affect the reading or blow out the MAF. Clean the sensor. Instructions are in Techinfo.
Bang on the catalytic converter. Both up and down, and side to side. Any noise?
How old is the O2?
