Default Do I need a new alternator?

Keep in mind this is the original one. I flipped by the volts reading on the aeroforce gauge and it says

Monday while Marty was with it said 12.x while driving.

That certainly does not look normal. Running it should be in the 14.5 V range.

I would suspect the alternator needs to be replaced. How is your battery :?:

Maybe it doesn't look normal for a 2000, it'* right on mark with the readings from my 1997. The charging system and type of alternator used is different between 97 and 00+. I've changed batteries, alternators and battery cables previously.

Went at it with alternators to ensure it wasn't related to them. It'* not.. my car like 13-13.7V at the most. I've looked into the voltage booster..and they don't appear to apply to the setup on the 97'*.

Battery is fairly new. Never have a problem starting, or any other electrical quirks.

While your gauge reads that pathetic 13.x go hit the battery with a multimeter at the same time.

Mine read 14 or close enough that I figured the parameter the Aeroforce reads isn't quite what is expected.

The higher the voltage the better IMO. Take your fuel pump for instance. More voltage will increase flow. I suppose if it'* designed for a lower voltage that might be alright.
