I think an 880 would be a downgrade. The 880'* have a cap and i believe the 885'* do now... I used an 885 in my gf'* gp, which is suppose to take 880, and it melted the fog light housing. :?

I don't think it would be a big deal, I use a capless in my low-beam headlight socket ( i use the high beam bulb in both) and it has been fine for over 6 months.

You have?? I did not know you could do that... So you have 4 9005'*?
Are the highs as bright as lows...or do they push different wattage?

I believe that the design of the socket is different......If you get the socket from the high and move it over you can use it in the lows, so you can install the 9005 in the low socket...that is a bad way top describe it but it can be done..at least 92-95

Go for the gusto guys. Just keep in mind that you put the wrong bulb into the car if it starts running bad. Certain bulbs in these babies can't be messed with...especially the tail lights (supposedly). I've never experienced it...but have heard the horror stories.
