That'll pay off pretty quick if I was running rich, cosidering what hi-octane fuel prices are!
As far as the O2 sensors, where did you find them for $20??? My local autoparts store wants $59.99 for 1. Two sounds right but I am not positive. Maybe I'll just pop the hood when I get home and check it out.

My Chiltons manual hinted at that. I just wasn't sure which years used the pre-heated type. I guess we all know that started after 94, now. How do you 95'* like being guniea pigs?

Well, I got most of my tune-up done. I replaced the fuel filter with a Fram, replaced the air filter with a Fram, installed the NGK Iridium IX spark plugs, and installed the Taylor 8mm Spiro Pro wires. It all looks sweet and drives even sweter.
My rough idle is almost gone (still there a little when the car is first turned on wether hot or cold :? ), and the acceleration is smoother through all the gears. I also notice an increase in acceleration that I just love! I'm sure most of what I fell is just putting it back to where it should be running from after basic maintaince but there'* a little extra floating around too.
So far I recommend all the parts that I used for this but I will post again down the road so we can all see what the long term performance of these parts are, if your interested.

Took the day off today to finish the thermostat and fluids. Fluids we obviously easy but the thermostat almost had me for a minute. Here'* what happened:
I started with a cold engine (of course) and removed the upper hose and clamp. I Then pulled off the thermostat cover. Well, here it got a little interesting because after stopping at multiple autoparts stores and having them all tell me there was no gasket for this I found it quite interesting that mine did have one. So now my car is undriveable and I don't have a gasket to finish it. So I hopped on my pimpin other ride (bicycle) and went the mile or too to the store with my upper housing to find a gasket. We went through their parts bin for therm gaskets and not one fit. So I ended up making my own gasket with what they had. Finally got home and finished putting it together.
It is now up and running and works great. The temp stays a bit below 200 and after a fast run (tends to run hot after) it dorps quickly back to normal temp.
FYI: For those of you who have a 95 (or like model) a dealer is the only source for the facrory gasket that I have found. Here is the part# I got from the dealer 24502433. Too bad I got it after the fact.
Oh, and I know my car would run that much better if I had a CAI * * speedyguy * *

I went through the same thing 3 weeks ago, only on my car, a small tab of the gasket was visible under the neck. I KNEW the guy at the parts store was full of it at that point, and went to the dealer for the gasket before I pulled it apart. Another interesting note, the rubber seal the Chilton'* manual describes is NOT the same as comes with the 'stat, but the new design works better. My temps are running exactly the same as yours, and only go back to their previous highs when I'm stopped in traffic without the AC on. I'm starting to think about a fan override switch like some of you guys were discussing a couple months back.
