Where is "The Water Leak Thread"?
I keep finding links to a thread that is supposed to be the encyclopedia of water leaks. Unfortunately, the link appears dead and all I can find are posts that reference it. Does anyone know where I might still find it?

I have a 1992 that appears to be leaking around the upper area of the left-rear passenger door. I don't know if it is the rain-channel thing above it separating that'* the problem or what. The gasket looks pretty good - at least it'* not torn or cracked.
Thanks in advance,
-Ed

Thank you for your time. So the original copy of the "Water Leak Thread" was lost forever? Damn, I was hoping it had been moved to an archive.
No I have no sun-roof. At least one entry-point appears to be dripping from the top of the left-rear passenger door.
The thin chrome plastic trim that loops the roof above the doors and windshields appears somewhat detached and loose. I do not know if this is just for aesthetics or plays a role in water diversion. Should I try to pry it away from the roof and and add silicone? Is house hold 100% bathroom silicone OK on metal.
The rubber gasket around the passenger door appears soft, not cracked, and no tears. It can be removed rather easily from the top of the rear door. I doubt this is the problem as I think it'* function is to simply compress against the door when it is closed and I think it is doing this properly.
Thanks in advance for any more tips or suggestions,

When the system was changed over from teh old software to the new software some threads were lost. We tried for a while to correct this but ended up rebuilding most everything.
I personally would get some clear silicone so it wont show up as bad. Try to get a look inder there to make sure you don't have a rust hole.
