92 Bonneviller Trans Lines
My Bonneville developed a seepage of tranny fluid a couple of months ago. I thought I had it narrowed down to the two lines that go into the trans and tightened the fittings. Unfortunately, I still have leakage and found that there are actually two areas where the fluid is leaking. Both lines come out of the tranny through a small bracket and it is here that the line on the right has a groove worn into it by the bracket. This line is hose clamped to a rubber line. Now the other line to the left is damp where it is factory cramped to the rubber line. I read that there was a recall on these cars back in '96 but don't see where there is any cutoff on eligibility. Do you think my car is eligible under this recall and will both lines be repaired? My car is in Ohio.

if you have the recall or tsb #, it may be worth calling the dealer to find out. but the replacement cost is fairly cheap, and may be worth saving the hassle. all you need is steel hydraulic lines and 3/8 id hose. you can do both lines for about $20--$30
