I didnt have enough money to do a flush so i just used the water adn drained out all the green coolant that was (FOR SOME REASON IN THE CAR FROM PREVIOUS DOE-DOE) and put the dex cool in there. I also changed the t-stat. I have another 195 in it. Now, the leak that i was saying that was coming out on teh side and covering oil on the metal part, it was the coolant coming from the housing. I didnt tighten the housing up. I checked it today adn it is dry there.

Bad news. And i hate to say it again, but draining didn't get but about 2/3rds of the Green out. And mixing Dexcool and Green is BAD BAD NEWS! Do NOT drive the car until it'* flushed.

Not getting on your case, Steve, but please heed the warnings.

Keep a very close eye on your coolant, bud. If all you did was drain it, you may not (read probably didn't) get all the old stuff out. When the two mix, you're in for trouble...

You can get a home flush kit, even at WalMart, that will totally flush the system for about 1/4 the price of a pro job. You might wanna start looking for one now.

I'm hoping the best for ya, of course, but making sure you're away of the worst case scenario!!

Next time you flush it, make sure the heater controls are set to maximum heat.
