ok the other day i was at a little meet spot. im goin to leave, give it a little gas the tires where spinning a little and as soon as they got grip Bang Snap Crackle and Pop. coasted across the street and tried to put it in park and Grind Grind Grind. i looked at it and i think i blew my diff up. i was goin to pull it off to get a better look at it and realized its goin to be a little more work than i thougtht. i found a 94 se for 200$ for parts. just wondering if the tranny is the same i have a 95 ssei if you havent looked at my name. i decieded to get a used tranny put in for cheap. i might even sell the car afterword to get a bike. cant afford the gas. any ways im hopeing the tranny will fit. i dont know why they would be different other than the ssei having alot more torque

not sure if the tranny would fit, but even if it did, you wouldnt want it to. you have the HD tranny, and the SE does not. the supercharged motor would destroy that trans

That 94 SE is going to be about worthless to you. The diff is quite different, as is the tailshaft housing which you either damaged or destroyed.

Don't drive the car. Don't even start it. When you get it repaired, make sure the core in the radiator for the trans is BYPASSED in favor of an external cooler. You've just shot debris all through the system, plugging that core.

You're in for a spendy repair.

thats what i thought yea the housing that the cv axel goes into on the passenger side is alllllllll tore the f$#% up im goin to try to get pictures and post them. i had gears layin on the ground and all.

I've been there too. This is the time to consider a full rebuild and shift kit. That gunk just went ALL through the trans.

NEVER burn in a turn. Don't forget that. That is the main reason that diff was weakened and the pin broke. Whether it was you or the owner before you, that's the quickest way to stress that stock diff.

well i have to admit the tire spins good while turnin but i only did it a couple time untill i read on here that its death to the diff but anytime i went to do a burnout 1 wheel wonder. the owner before my prob drove the hell out of it like i do but alot worse. when i got the car i realized that it had an ac delco remand engine sticker on it. the car itself has almost 200K so i belive that could of done it too. i doubt that they did anything to the tranny if they did have the motor swaped or rebuilt

i asked this before but what is the good shift kit again? and where can i get a real good rebuild kit if i decide to get someone to do it for me
