Default Alternator Replacement....where are the Delco'*?

I just replaced my alternator and the thing sucks. I bought it from the dreaded Autozone who I've read here sells crap alternators and starters (my bad for not doing my homework). I am not sure of the amperage, but it'* a pretty basic alternator. You might not believe this, but when I put my turn signal on you can see the gauge fluctuating!!! It will be going back on the shelf.

I have aftermarket stero equipment in my car.

What is the highest rated alternator in terms of AMPS I can put in my 95 SE series II?
I'd like to get a Delco.....where is the best place/website to get it???

Thanks...if there are any other suggestions for good alterantor manufactureres please let me know....you guys are legends.

Autozone sucks. I'll confirm that.

160 or 200 amps at www.domesticperformance.com
He sells them cheaper than his supplier sells them for
We have a few running here, and aside from one fluke, all are running great.
These have a beefed-up diode bridge, smaller pulley, and improved rear bearing. Any color you want (within reason)

I got a 200 amp from DP (since I was planning for a huge sound system) and it has outlasted any other Alt that I have had. I do recommend them by far.

http://www.domesticperformance.com/d...cPath=27_49_51

if that doesnt work just go to http://www.domesticperformance.com

i say get the biggest alternator your budget can handle...it cant hurt anything, especially if you have lots of stereo stuff.

Domestic Performance.....duh???

I'm buying the 200 amp for sure.

The battery in my car is not that old....bought it earlier this year. Should I replace it when I get the new alternator??

Advance parts has Reman Delcos in stock, and if they dont have it, they can get them next day. If you dont have any aftermarket stuff, and OEM replacement Delco should suit you fine. And, they come with a lifetime warranty.

which autozone alternator did you buy? The one I bought for my LeSabre when I owned it was a Duralast Gold which lasted until I sold the car (over 2 years) and I had no problems with it while I owned the car. It too, had a lifetime warranty on it.
