The drivers ABS sensor is bad on my car. I have the hub/sensor assy on order. I have some questions.

What I need to know is what size socket do I need to get the big nut off the end of the CV shaft?

2. Is it a T-55 torq bit to get the 3 bolts out to get the hub off?

3. Do I need a puller to get the hub off the end of CV shaft?

4. Is there anything else should I know about this job?

And Make sure you do not over tighten the axle nut. It will ruin the bearing.

I found that the front knuckles rust on the ID that fits on the hub OD. The axle shaft was free on the hub spline but the hub was still firmly attached to the knuckle. You end up prying the old hub out from the knuckle & ruining the "encoder/coil" part of the old hub, which remains stuck in the knuckle. This will pry out separate of the bearing hub. I used a "dotco" hand grinder & a wire brush to clean up the ID of the knuckle before I put the new hub in.

I did both fronts on my 94 SE. The hub came out ok and without a puller although I think I had to tap on the axle stub a little. Other than the ABS sensor falling apart when I took it out, it went pretty smoothly. Luckily, the new hub includes a new sensor. Make sure you got the right torx bit. I did post my progress with pictures in a previous message.

Its all done, and yes it did destroy the back cover of the hub in the process. There was water all in the sensor, and the bearing had water in it too. So it was only a matter of time. It too about 2 hrs start to finish. Not a bad job.
