Default 98 SSEi ticking

Well I just got back from Columbus where I visited Intense yesterday, I got their standard PCM. Changes to the PCM being stock shift tables and +3 degrees of WOT timing. Coming home I certainly wasn't driving slowly but I did stay in vacuum most of the time and not go over 3k most of the 160 mile drive home. There was one stretch of the trip home that I had gone WOT and got to 131mph then coasted down. But the whole time home I had my windows up and air on so hearing anything from my motor like a tick was hard.

I noticed the noise about 1 mile from my house at the gas station. I took a quick video I'm now uploading for everyone to see. My oil pressure at a hot & heat soaked 200 degree idle was a hair under 40psi.

I'm thinking possibly a collapsed lifter; but I'm really not sure what it could be.
Any ideas and help would be great…

yes at idle (edited above post)

[edit] I just went outside to fire it up and listen. I can't really tell which cylinder is tapping; the noise is almost non existent at idle but 1500-2k it becomes audible. Slightly warm idle I'm seeing a little over 60psi oil pressure.
If this is a failing or collapsed lifter how bad is it to be running this motor?

Anyone.... Any tips on figuring out if this is a lifter thats bad or collapsed? How Bad is it to be running this motor now? (I'm going to have my co-worker check this out on Monday at the shop. Untill then I'm trying to keep her in the driveway)

Running with a mechanical problem = bad

Hows it idling? Smooth?

check plugs first for one that looks different than the others.

I would guess bent pushrod before bad lifter.

These pushrods don't bend easy. In fact I have yet to hear of a pushrod failure on this forum. Lifters will def. get sticky before that happens.

That video sounds really bad; that sounds like a knock. My car has a lighter tapping noise that you can’t hear inside the car with the windows up.

Idles pretty smooth not any different then it has in the past. The plugs are only 2-3 days old so I’m not going to mess with them right now as I don’t think that will help me figure out much. Whether it’* a pushrod or a lifter I’m going to have them all replaced; if it is one of the two.

My thought was if it was idling rough you could find the bad cyl (or lifter) by the different looking plug.
