Default That Darned Headlight Topic Rebirthed, and an Audio Question

Well, here'* another newbie-to-the-Bonne ownership club. I bought a 1995 SSEi about a month ago up here in the Great White North , and now I'm discovering some of the things I'd like to fix and/or tweak. Back about three/four years ago, there was a discussion about switching the OEM headlights (high and low beam) over to something brighter. I read that "Silverstars" were terrific - is that still the case? If so, do they simply mount right in, and do they affect any of the stock headlight control functions? <<See, toldja I was a noob. >>

Next "Q" - I've seen a couple of ads for the OEM CD player that came with the 2000 and up Bonne'* at a pretty good price. What I have is the stock AM/FM/cassette I'd like to swtich out with that stock OEM CD player, if they'll switch. The previous (unknown) owner dumped in a fairly cheap Kenwood CD 10-disc trunk mounted disc changer that I cannot get to work. Or rather, it will work when there are no discs in the changer; the minute I put discs in it, it won't power on. Rather than mess around with a system I know nothing about, I thought a simpler solution might be to swap out the OEM part. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Any 94-99 Bonneville, 94-2003 Grand Prix, Grand Am, and firebird (year ranges for non bonnevilles roughly the same) will work for you. 2000+ bonnevilles will not.

I happen to have a CD player out of a 95 that I tested working yesterday. Just need to get around to replacing the display light and it will be up for sale.

That'* terrific news, and thank you. Glad I asked first before wasting my time (and hard-earned $$$) on an OEM that wasn't going to work. I'd be interested in hearing back from you (via PM) once you have that display light working on that CD player re: price, etc. Thanks for the offer, and thanks for the speedy answer.
